Nabelóse is the duo project of Elena Kakaliagou and pianist Ingrid Schmoliner , born in the Austrian Alps in 2016. It combines prepared grand piano, the french horn and imaginary and mother tongues, to unknown territories of sound by breaking the feeling of measured time and space. Various reviewers and audience describe Nabelóse´s music as deep-listening music, timeless and strongly atmospheric, in live concerts as via their albums. The debut album was released in 2017 by Corvo Records https://nabelose.bandcamp.com/album/nabel-se and OMOKENTRO, their second vinyl, by Bohemian Drips in 2022. https://nabelose.bandcamp.com/album/omokentro
“…I can honestly say I’ve never heard anything quite like this… It’s a spellbinding, cathartic combination of beauty and discomfort.”
Decoder Magazine-Emilie Pothast
„..resonating bodies orbiting in gravities harmonic for an interdependent system in euphonious equilibrium.“

P.O.P.
(Psychologie of Perception)
A unique quartet based in Berlin with Nora Krahl/cello, Reinhold Friedl/piano and Hannes Strobl/electric bass. P.O.P´s pieces are neither compositions nor improvisations, they exist..just like that!..they can modify moods, atmospheres and feelings, create soundscapes, pulses and repetitions.
About their album IKEBANA, reviewers wrote:
„These musicians are invested in the process of slowing, prolonging time, deepening the present moment with engaged awareness.„

Solo
Elena performs solo concerts, acoustic and amplified, with singing or without, according to the venue. Characterized by lyrisism and melancholy that transforms to angry sea and wind and then again into meditative didgeridoo-like loops, Elena has deffined her own voice. „Hydratmos“ is her first solo album, released by DASA Tapes in September 2021.
„(..) Nothing on Hydramatos feels fixed. The room grows and shrinks as echoes adjust in size accordingly, while Kakaliagou moves beautifully from emphasising the raw materiality of her instrument – the valves, the tubes – to the picturesque abstraction on “One who never saw the sea, but had shells instead of ears”. As in vapour, the record resists definitive allegiance and finds refuge within infinite possibility.“
